Every scholarship GO Foundation funds changes the life of a First Nations student. But to reach more students, they needed to reach more supporters. And that’s where we came in – bringing creativity and hands-on support to strategically and sustainably grow their digital fundraising.

The challenge

GO Foundation had big ambitions but limited internal capacity. They needed more than a service provider. They needed a digital fundraising partner who could act as an extension of their team.

The partnership

We partnered with GO Foundation in 3, and over the past three years we’ve worked together to design and deliver five integrated digital fundraising campaigns.

From strategy and donor journeys, to creative, audience development, testing, optimisation and reporting, we’ve built internal capability, provided strategic advice and supported platform decisions that will serve them well into the future.

“Working with Parachute feels less like outsourcing and more like growing our own in-house fundraising dream team.”

– Catherine Gunning, Fundraising Manager, GO Foundation

The approach

We applied an agile, test-and-optimise methodology to every campaign.

This included:

👉 Structured tests across creative, audience segments and user journeys

👉 Real-time dashboards for transparent campaign tracking

👉Rapid in-campaign pivots to scale success

👉Strengths-based storytelling grounded in First Nations voices

Combining fundraising best practice with cultural sensitivity, each campaign delivered both financial results and meaningful impact for communities.

Best performing creative featured GO Foundation founders, Adam and Michael.

The results

Together, we’ve driven year-on-year growth in digital fundraising, helping to raise income by $1.4 million and funding hundreds of additional scholarships for First Nations students 🙌

Marn Grook + Tax 2025

Target: $250,000 👉 Raised: $361,686

180 scholarships funded

60% new donors

Email generated 65% of income at a 29.2% CVR

Christmas/Survival Day 2024

Target: $50,000 👉 Raised: $80,765 (61% above goal)

Conversion across channels: 7%

Email generated 63% of income at a 19.5% CVR

Meta ads achieved 7x ROAS with a $17 CPA

Across five major appeals, every campaign exceeded its financial target, often requiring live adjustments to meet (and surpass) demand.

Why it worked

The partnership succeeded because it was built on:

🖤 Cultural respect – centring First Nations voices and strength-based storytelling

💛 True collaboration – we acted as an extension of GO Foundation’s team

❤️ Empowerment – building knowledge and confidence within GO Foundation’s staff to run digital fundraising sustainably

We created 3 x landing pages tailored to different audiences and user experiences.

The impact

Beyond the numbers, these campaigns have enabled GO Foundation to fund hundreds of extra scholarships. As well as grow their team of First Nations scholarship staff, who are connecting young First Nations Australians with educational opportunities and role models.

This is innovation driven by impact and shows what’s possible when fundraising best practice meets cultural integrity.
